Fubon Braves - Formosa D. 83-76 The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Fubon Braves as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Fubon Braves defeated 6th ranked Formosa D. at home 83-76. Fubon Braves made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Formosa D. turnovers and outrebounded them 51-38 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Costa Rican-Belizean forward Charles Garcia (208-88, college: Seattle) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 21 rebounds. American guard OJ Mayo (193-87, college: USC) chipped in 26 points and 9 rebounds. Fubon Braves' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Jerran Young (198-91, college: Wright St.) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and guard Tsung-Hsien Chang (192-88, college: BYU-Hawaii) added 17 points respectively for the guests. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Formosa D. at the other side dropped to the eighth place with five games lost. American power forward Ryan Watkins (206-91, college: Boise St., agency: Two Points) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and American-Thailand Moses Morgan (198-92, college: CS Fullerton) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Strangely Singapore Slingers outrebounded Fubon Braves 48-32 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Host Alab Pilipinas were defeated by Zhuhai in a tough game in Manila 93-98. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Alab Pilipinas. Zhuhai players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Alab Pilipinas were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Douglas Herring-Jr (191-87, college: Utica) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 assists. Forward Julian Boyd (201-90, college: LIU Brooklyn) contributed with 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners.
